Share to Outline

• Videos: Share videos from Photos or any other app, or drag them straight into a page.
• Instant saving: Large photos and attachments now save instantly, even a full-resolution shot from your camera.
• Photos and files: Shared photos and files land on their page complete, with the page named once its content is in place.

Sync and iCloud

• Clear storage warnings: When iCloud is out of space, Outline says so plainly and keeps your changes safe until there is room.
• Resilient uploads: Uploads now watch for a slow or stalled iCloud and report it, and a file counts as uploaded only once iCloud confirms it.
• Default page properties and tags: Your defaults now follow you across devices, and edits made on two devices at once are merged into one.
• Default tags: Removing or renaming a default tag now sticks.
• Sync robustness: Sync handles unusual OneNote section structures and very large sync jobs smoothly.

Search

• Quick Search on macOS 26: The search hotkey always lands in the search field, even when the toolbar item is collapsed.
• Advanced Search and Tag Summary: Arrow keys keep the selected result in view, Select All tracks your tag selection, the scope picker keeps its size with long notebook names, and locking a section updates the results right away.

Subscriptions

• Subscription period: The license pane shows when your subscription renews and reminds you as the date approaches.
• Managing activations: Resetting other activations from the license pane is smoother.

Stability and polish

• Faster launch: Cache maintenance runs quietly in the background instead of during startup, so Outline opens faster.
• Dark mode: Editing toolbar icons and the show-more arrow are crisp and clear on a dark toolbar.
• PDF export: The "Created with Outline" footer and section titles print as set in Settings.
• PDF printout import: Pages split from a PDF are titled "Page 2", "Page 3" and so on.
• Read-only notebooks: Notebooks kept in a read-only folder open normally, and new section groups are saved right away.

Thank you for using Outline! We'd love to hear from you at support@outline.app.
